  1. Why did you partner with your chosen charities?

  2. What types of books can I donate?
There is a wide range of eligible books for this campaign. Most books published after 1970 have a unique identifying code called an ISBN number. You can check any book’s eligibility that you wish to donate by entering the ISBN code on our website. We appreciate you only sending eligible books for this campaign.

  3. How can I get my company that I work for to support this campaign?
We recommend that you make your HR Manager or someone responsible for employee communications aware of your desire to support our campaign. Companies wishing to participate can register on our website and then we will keep you informed of the news and program details as we get closer to the corporate book drive week.

  4. Are there other ways to support this campaign without donating books?
Yes there are. You can show your support by purchasing your next books through BetterWorld.com which is the on-line portal for the books being donated by our campaign. Visit www.betterworld.com to show your support.
You can also show your support by volunteering for our campaign. As a volunteer you will be asked to assist in contacting our registered companies that wish to support the campaign and to advise them of the program details and answer any questions they may have. We can certainly use your help!

  5. Where do I deliver the filled box to?

  6. What is the deadline for shipping filled boxes?
All boxes must be shipped not later than 15 February 2008.

  7. Will I receive a tax receipt for my donation?
Unfortunately we are unable to track individual donations of books and therefore a tax receipt is not available for your donated books.

  8. How much money will be raised from my donated books?
Due to the nature of the online marketplaces, it is difficult to assign a value to each book; however, Better World Books markets books on over 17 online marketplaces, therefore optimizing the revenue potential for our literacy organizations. Up to 50% of the net proceeds will be paid directly to our literacy organizations.
